As part of a new urban quarter the housing project connects to a public promenade and its superordinate design principles. An arcade opens the building to this urban backbone and creates a presence in the pedestrian zone.

The main entrance is situated in a side street representing a major cross link for the whole quarter and connecting the promenade with the  parkland. Adjacent to the ground floor areas for community use are implemented and connected to the ground floor program.

A wooden deck and a roofed veranda are opening the building towards the public park. Again this semi public space is allocated to community use. The most intimate spot is situated at the basement floor with a sunken garden located around a circular community shared open space. This notion of an archaic amphitheatre fosters collective work, play and leisure. Additionally areas for urban gardening are located in the attic floor.
